I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
